Boils de Rose has a heartwood with a vibrant magenta or reddish purple color which will darken with age to a deep purple. It has a fine uniform texture and a very high natural polish. The end grain is diffuse-porous. Bois de Rose turns and finishes well as well it takes a high natural polish.
