Timborana has a heartwood with a golden to reddish brown color. The sapwood is a lighter brown color. The grain is interlocked, and/or wavy and it has a coarse even texture. The end grain is diffuse-porous. It is rated as durable to moderately durable in regards to decay. The wood has a high blunting effect and it glues and finishes well.
