Bosse has a heartwood that is initially pale pinkish brown which darkens with age to a more golden to medium brown. The sapwood is a pale yellowish. The grain can be straight, interlocked, and even wavy. Bosse has a texture that is medium to fine and gives off a good natural lustre. It is moderately to very moderate durable when it comes to decay, as well it has a fair resistance to insect attacks. Bosse glues, turns, and finishes well.
