Chakte Viga has a heartwood that is bright orange to golden brown and a sapwood that is pale white to yellow. The grain is straight and it has a fine even texture. The wood gives off a good natural lustre. The end grain is diffuse-porous. The wood is rated as very durable when it comes decay. Chakte Viga turns, glues, and finishes well. As well it responds well to most machining operations.
