Paldao ranges from a light to medium brown color, sometimes with reddish, grayish, or greenish cast. The sapwood is wide and is a pink to grey color. The grain is interlocked and irregular and it has a medium to coarse texture. The wood gives off a good natural lustre. Paldao is rated as non-durable to perishable in regards to decay. The wood glues and finishes well.
