Queenwood has a heartwood which is generally a light reddish brown, with sections of darker purplish brown, as well as darker streaks and veins that run throughout.the sapwood is a pale grayish brown. It has a fine even grain and gives off a good natural lustre. The wood has good workability and turns well.
